🌍 Our fantastic librarian has also hand-picked some inspiring reads. This week’s Book of the Week is 'Diary of a Young Naturalist' by Dara McAnulty. As Chris Packham says, “It’s really, really special,” and Robert Macfarlane describes Dara as “an extraordinary voice and vision.” pic.twitter.com/QLea6gmONy
@QueensburyAcad - April 22
"At just 15, Dara McAnulty shares his personal journey in Northern Ireland, observing wildlife and the changing seasons. His diary entries are vivid, raw, and moving, reflecting his deep connection to nature and his life as a teenager balancing school and campaigning." #weCARE

In the lead-up to Earth Day, a group of our students took part in the Our Blue Planet poster competition, run by the National Literacy Trust. Their task? To design powerful, creative posters that raise awareness about protecting our planet, and we think they absolutely delivered! pic.twitter.com/NepgcLG2ug

We had some fantastic entries, with a strong focus on how we can all play a part in saving Planet Earth. The final posters are now proudly on display in our library, and we’re looking forward to sharing the winning designs with you very soon! Well done to everyone who took part! pic.twitter.com/QamK5HsNJo

Currently, we offer free porridge to all our students, and this grant would help us extend our reach and support even more. How You Can Help: From April to June 2025, customers at select Tesco stores can vote for Queensbury Academy by placing a token in our charity box. #weCARE
