We were delighted to welcome Alex Mayer, Labour MP, to Queensbury yesterday. During her visit, Alex spent time with our Junior Leadership Team, who asked thoughtful questions about the local community, government, and the role of an MP, before enjoying a tour of the school.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to gain real insight into how decisions are made and how they can play an active role in their communities. Thank you to Alex for the time she gave to our students; they really valued the opportunity to hear from her.

As Easter revision sessions are underway, last week saw our Yr12 students diving into physic experiments. We began by exploring harmonics with a waves-on-a-string practical, helping students visualise standing waves & better understand how frequency & tension affect wave patterns
@QueensburyAcad - March 31
Building on this, students took their learning outside to design and test bottle rocket launchers. They investigated key variables such as water volume, air pressure, and launch angle to determine which combination produced the most effective results.
