Academy Day

Please note that the Academy cannot authorise any holidays during term time. 

A full week is 32.5 hours long, 6.5 hours per day, 8:35 - 15:05, this includes breaks

• From 08.25 - Gates open to students, and students go to the playground for line-up
• 08.25 - Staff day commences (Be at meetings or at line up)
• 08.30 - First bell - Students line up and are greeted by Tutors/ Heads of Year if a meeting day
• 08.35 - Second bell - Students are dismissed to Tutor rooms/ Assembly.  If students enter school after the second bell, they are late to school.
• 08.35 - 09.00 Tutor time/ Assembly

NEW Academic Day | After May half term 2026

Following feedback from students and parents, we have decided to move to a single lunch for all students. This will start immediately after half term. We have decided to start this when our Y11 students will be on study leave to help ease the transition with fewer students in school. This also gives us a fantastic opportunity for making the lunch slightly longer so that students are given the opportunity to take part in a range of enrichment clubs and activities that teachers are going to be putting on during the lunch break.
