Message from the Headteacher

At Queensbury, we put student success first. Our commitment is to promote an environment where every student is empowered to achieve their full potential.

Guided by our core values of cooperation, aspiration, respect and endeavour, we are creating a community where genuine mutual respect, collaboration, high ambition and persistent effort are the foundations of our daily practice.

Our aspiration is to be the most successful school in Dunstable and subsequently, in Central Bedfordshire. We recognise that success manifests itself in many different forms: academic excellence, personal growth and community engagement. At Queensbury we celebrate all achievements, understanding that each contributes to the holistic development of our students.

Inspired by the image of the starling in Daniel Coyle’s The Culture Code. We envision our school community moving in togetherness much like a flock of starlings in flight – everyone contributing to the collective strength, navigating challenges together, their cohesion built on relentless attention to a small set of signals. This metaphor reflects our belief in the power of cohesive, supportive relationships that propel us towards shared goals.

We are dedicated to creating a culture of psychological safety, where students and staff feel valued, heard and encouraged to take intellectual risks. By consistently reinforcing our shared purpose and values, we aim to build a resilient and dynamic learning environment that not only responds to the present needs but also prepares our students for future success.
